All About Madison

Madison has been bringing home school things for the past few weeks as her last day is Monday, June 30th and they don't want to flood the backpack on the last day!

I thought this was a cute write up she did, and thought a few of you would find it especially entertaining.

Madison's Recital

Madison's dance recital was on Thursday, she did very well and really enjoyed herself. She is in Primary Ballet this year. Right now she's unsure of what she'll be doing next year. If she continues in dance it will be Grade 2 Ballet and Hip Hop 2. She also wants to do gymnastics again and swimming and well, you can't do it all.
Below is a video of her recital.

Just a few random pictures from the Teddy Bear Picnic and Annika's soccer game last week.

The Countdown ...

Today was my last day at work - the countdown is truly on!
I've been at work for 5 1/2 years and have made some fabulous friends over that time, I was a little (really little LOL) sad to leave but I know I'll be able to keep in touch.

I was showered with gifts today and taken out to a fantastic lunch, I didn't expect any of it and was truly surprised. Thank you everyone :) Now to enjoy the summer with Madison and Annika and get ready for Kelsie's arrival!!

We had Annika's 5th Birthday Party last weekend. She had a lot of friends over and she was so thrilled to have her daycare buddies come to her house. I think all of the girls had a great time.

Now we're planning Madison's 8th Birthday Party - I can't believe my baby is turning 8! She's having a sleepover and some how a "sleepover with a few close friends" has turned in to 10 eight year olds sleeping in my basement. Allan is sure this is when I will go into labour. God I hope not LOL!

Annika's dance recital was on Thursday evening. It was her second recital and she did great. No nerves at all, she already is talking about next year! Madison's recital is this upcoming Wednesday.

Happy Birthday Annika

Tomorrow is Annika's 5th Birthday! I can hardly believe she's FIVE already!! Wow, the time has flown.

Five years ago to this minute I was playing a computer game while listening to Allan give his Mom directions to the Graduation ceremony at the University. I kept telling them "we aren't going to the grad, I am in labour" but nobody believed me LOL!!

At around midnight Allan's dad arrived (he drove in from Regina after work) and about 1:00am things really started going. We went to the hospital around 4:30am and Annika was born just after 6:00am.

She's such a joy to have in our lives - so outgoing and friendly to everyone. Happy 5th Birthday Ana Banana!

Our Trip

We spent last weekend in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Because of the flooding (and wow was there flooding!) the drive took four hours instead of two. I was so sore the entire trip from the time in the car and not getting out to stretch that it wasn't much of a fun trip. Most importantly, the girls had a blast playing in the water park.
Soccer and Baseball season have officially started, meaning May and June are extremely busy and sure to fly by. Thankfully we have beautiful weather to go with the season (22C today!) so it's not so bad to sit outside every evening and watch the girls play. Annika plays soccer Monday and Wednesday evenings. Madison plays soccer Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Allan plays ball Tuesday and Thursday evenings. TGIF!

Here are some photos from our trip.

Flooding - this is the highway just past the U.S. border, it had just been opened back up and you can see why. Water on both sides as far as you can see at some points and deep enough for waves!
